Experience

For over 10 years, Linnea has worked as a freelance journalist writing about food, travel, children, and other fun subjects. A Colorado native, she moved to NYC in 2002 and lived there for 13 years before moving back home with her son and partner. Now a family of four, she has incorporated her experience as a mom into stories for Parents.com, TripSavvy, Westword, and many other publications. She still writes a lot about food and beverages and will go anywhere to seek out the best in both flavor and story. Follow her on Instagram and Twitter @linneacovington.

Education

Linnea has a BA and MA in journalism from the City University of New York. While getting a masters she interned and later reported for Serious Eats, Brooklyn Rail, and the former New York Press. Her first published article ever was, of all things, about opera.
