Agents must have a a quiet room to work in, a landline dedicated connection, a corded phone and a corded headset for the phone, Internet connection and a Windows-based computer. with a wired connection to the Internet All of this is paid for and maintained by the agent.
Applying to Become a LiveOps Agent:
LiveOps agents are not employees but independent contractors, who are paid mostly on a per minute basis of talk time.
This is an important distinction because it means agents aren't paid for time between calls, so if volume is slow you will not make as much money. It is important to note that independent contractors are not guaranteed a minimum wage and they must pay the portion of their Social Security and Medicare taxes usually paid by their employer.
Agents may schedule their time in blocks as short as 30 minutes. Generally they must commit to a minimum level of time blocks, which for some positions works out to about 35 hours a month. Agents must be 18 years old and reside in the 48 contiguous United States. LiveOps does not charge a fee for training, but it does not pay during training. This unpaid training, which varies by position, may be around 10 hours of your time. Fore each client an agent works for a new certification or training is required. LiveOps does charge a $65 fee to new agents for a background and credit check.
