    Find out how to make a variety of animals, bugs, and even birds using unwanted CDs and some basic craft supplies. They can be used for room decorations, magnets, gifts, and so much more. 

    Besides an old CD, most of these projects consist of a felt or craft foam base, with adding a few pom-poms, chenille, stems, feathers, and wiggle eyes!

    I started out by tracing around the CD onto the felt and cutting out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD and start adding the facial details. I cut out ears using the same color felt as the bunny face and then cut out inner ears and a mouth area using white felt. The eyes were also cut out of felt and glued in place. I used a 1-inch pink pom-pom for the nose and pieces cut from black...MORE chenille stems for whiskers. Don't forget a mouth, which I drew on using red dimensional paint.

The eyes were also cut out of felt and glued in place. At this time, use dimensional paint to add the black spots if you are making a dalmatian. Glue on two large pom-poms to form the dog's mouth and a slightly smaller...MORE pom-pom on top of the mouth to make the nose. Glue on two larger wiggle eyes; and, if, you want to add a fun detail, cut out a pink or red tongue and glue it in place.

    Trace around the CD onto green felt and cut out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD. Cut 4 legs for your frog out of green felt. I simply cut out 4 capital L shapes that were a little large on one end. Glue these to the bottom side of the CD. Glue two 1-inch pom-poms onto frog body and then glue a wiggle eye onto each pom-pom.     Trace around the CD onto red felt and cut out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD. Make a half-circle black head, a little smaller than half the CD, and glue it into place. Use a piece of the chenille stem to make a line down the ladybug's back. Cut small, black circle out of black felt and glue them onto the ladybug's back. Add wiggle eyes, and for extra detail, chenille stem antennae.

    Trace around the CD onto a piece of green craft foam and cut it out. Glue the circle to the CD. Cut out a handful of octagons using green felt and glue them to the craft foam to look like a turtle shell. Cut four legs out of green felt along with a small tail. Glue these to the underside of the CD as shown in the picture. Top off your turtle with a pair of wiggle eyes.
