Melissa is the associate lifestyle editor for The Spruce. She oversees both the home decor and crafts sections. She's covered all lifestyle topics from fashion and beauty to home and travel, and has written for publications like Women's World, First for Women, Everyday Health, Life&Style, and SUITCASE.

Experience

Prior to the Spruce, Melissa worked as the editorial coordinator for Clique Media's site College Fashionista and served as an editorial and SEO assistant at Bauer Xcel Media. Before moving to New York City, she worked as the digital content manager and assistant planner at Vanity Affair Events, a wedding planning company in Portland, Oregon.

She has freelanced for a wide variety of publications and ran the social media accounts for West Elm in Portland, Oregon.

Education

Melissa graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in journalism.
