I may be a cook, but I am also a dad, and one of my favorite pastimes with my children is cooking. There are plenty of Middle Eastern recipes that are quick and easy to make, and more importantly, kid-friendly! Preparing meals together is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have with your children. It teaches them not only life skills, but how to cooperate and have fun at the same time!     Coconut Dates

    This sweet treat is a great way to give children a hands-on approach to cooking. Some stove-top cooking is required, so I do that before I call my kids into the kitchen. Then we all join together at our table and shape and roll our dates. This gives us the perfect time to talk without concentrating on something difficult.

    What child doesn’t love cookies, right? These are very easy to make and once the ingredients are mixed and the dough is rolled, children will have fun cutting shapes in the dough with cookie cutters
