Napoleon Prestige I P308 Gas Grill
Napoleon Prestige I P308 Gas Grill. Napoleon Gourmet Grills

The Bottom Line

This model has been discontinued. For a comparable product see my list of the Best Gas Grill between $500 and $1,000.

This is one of the most basic units available from Napoleon Gourmet Grills. Napoleon has made some of the best grills on the market for many years and while this unit is small, a little underpowered, and limited in features it has very good construction and high quality components.

The stainless steel burners are some of the best of their type and the cooking components are excellent. If you need a basic grill that will cook great and last for many years this is an excellent choice.

Guide Review - Napoleon Prestige I P308 Gas Grill

This basic two burner grill won't do a lot of things without spending more money on optional features.

With two burners you have limited indirect grilling capabilities and the 29,000 BTU output is low for the 308 square inches of primary grilling space. However, the quality internal components make this one grill that can really cook and will last for many years. The porcelain coated cooking grates are heavy enough to hold heat and help you get a good sear on your meats.

The lid design helps hold in heat so that you can grill indirectly and generate high temperatures, though it might take a little longer to generate those temperatures.

Napoleon is a well know maker of great gas grills. They have very good support and this unit does come with a good warranty. If you are tired of throwing out your grill every few years but don't have a lot of money, this unit is a good choice. At around $650 it might seem pretty expensive but if you consider that it will outlast lesser grills by many years it is a good investment. When looking at this grill you might want to look at other Napoleon models. Napoleon (sometimes called the Weber of Canada) is the maker of some truly great grills.
