Just like oatmeal cookie recipes, you can give this shooter a slightly different flavor profile if you like. This recipe skips the cinnamon schnapps and uses an orange liqueur instead. Most often that is Grand Marnier.
To make this drink, shake and strain equal parts orange liqueur, butterscotch schnapps, and Irish cream into a shot glass.
The Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Shot
Jagermeister is back in the oatmeal raisin cookie and we also find rum and a coffee liqueur in this recipe. Quite often, a 151-proof rum is used here, but any rum will do just fine.
To make this drink, shake equal parts Jagermeister, cinnamon schnapps, rum, coffee liqueur, and Irish cream with ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass.
Pouring this shot is a little tricky because you want to fit an equal pour of five distilled spirits into a shot glass that is around 2 ounces. When we factor in dilution from shaking it with ice, that means that you would have to pour about 1/4 ounce of each ingredient. That's tough!
Two options can fix this problem:
- Make two or three shots at one time. If you were to pour 1-ounce of each ingredient, this would create about 5 1/2 ounces after shaking. Divide that into two tall shot glasses and share with a friend.
- Strain the shot into a small tumbler as suggested in the recipe. You can still make more than one drink at the same time and won't have to worry about wasting a single drop.
How Strong Are These Oatmeal Cookie Shot?
Let's assume that we mix these shots with the popular brands mentioned above and use Kahlua and an 80-proof rum in the oatmeal raisin cookie. With those assumptions, we can estimate the alcohol content of each shot and it would look like this:
- Oatmeal Cookie: 16 percent ABV (32 proof)
- Orange Oatmeal Cookie: 13 percent ABV (26 proof)
