    Octopus shaped wieners are popularly put in kids' bento lunch boxes in Japan. There are different ways to make octopus wieners, and here is an easy one.

    Slice the weiner to make legs.

    Cut a wiener in half along the length, keeping one side connected.

    Turn the wiener 90 degrees on the cutting board, and further cut the wiener in half along the length, keeping one side connected.

    Cook the weiners.

    Heat some oil in a small skillet and fry until cooked through so that the legs curl up. Or, boil the weiners. Let them cool.

    If you would like, decorate the wieners to make a cute face.

    Poke holes with a toothpick and place black sesame seeds to make eyes. You can substitute sesame seeds with other food you would like.
