How to Make a Paper Plate Butterfly
I hope you enjoy these instructions for making a butterfly using a paper plate, a toilet tissue roll, and a few other supplies.

- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

Gathering The Supplies
Before you start any project it is easiest to gather together all of the supplies. For this project you will need:
- Paper Plate
- Toilet Paper Roll
- Wiggle Eyes
- Chenille Stem
- Craft Glue
- Paint Brush

Paint the Paper Plate
Start out by painting the top side of the paper plate. Use whatever colors and designs you would like. This will be the butterfly's wings.Continue to 4 of 9 below.

Paint the Toilet Paper Roll
The toilet paper roll will be the butterfly's body. I painted mine black, but you can paint yours whatever color you like.Continue to 5 of 9 below.

Cut the Paper Plate
Cut the paper plate in half to make the butterfly's wings. I cut mine so it looked wavy!Continue to 6 of 9 below.

Glue on the Wings
Glue the wings onto the toilet paper roll like shown in the picture.Continue to 7 of 9 below.

Add the EyesGlue the two wiggle eyes onto the toilet paper roll.Continue to 8 of 9 below.

Make the AntennaCut two pieces of chenille stem, about 2-inches long.Continue to 9 of 9 below.

Finishing Your ButterflyFinally, glue the chenille stem antenna onto the toilet paper roll just above the eyes. Now your butterfly is done. Display it on a table or attach it to a piece of string and hang it in a window!
