Simple, quick and a quality drink for a tight budget, the Patron Pomegranate is a nice cocktail to serve to guests for summer parties. The beauty of this mixed drink is in its simplicity: you can spend a little more on a quality tequila such as Patron and save money on the mixers.
Ideally, yes, fresh pomegranate juice would be best for this cocktail. However, stepping back into reality, the pomegranate is not the easiest fruit to get juice from and it's not always around. The next best thing is to choose a quality bottled pomegranate juice like POM Wonderful.
- Pour Patrón Silver and Patrón Citrónge over ice.
- Fill with pomegranate juice.
- Finish with a squeeze of lime.

Pom Padre Cocktail Recipe
Once you discover the wonders of tequila and pomegranate, it is time to step up your game. The Pom Padre is the perfect cocktail to do just that.
The Pom Padre is a delicious cocktail that won over the taste buds of our judges in the May 2010 Tequila Cocktail Contest.
The drink was created by Ryan Kelley, the "Tequila Examiner" as a challenge to himself to find a viable mix of tequila and the herbal qualities of Benedictine. It worked out quite well, with a nice balance of agave, herbs and fruit.
I think you will find this an enjoyable summer cocktail that is a fantastic change of pace from the ordinary.
