These mouthwatering cookies are made with peanut butter and chocolate chips, a match that just can't be beat. Add some peanut butter chips along with the chocolate chips if you like. Use creamy or chunky peanut butter in the recipe. The cookies are truly amazing in both flavor and texture. 

Feel free to adjust ingredients to use what you have on hand. Use milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet chunks instead of standard semisweet chocolate chips. If you like a little more texture, use chunky peanut butter or add some chopped peanuts or another kind of chopped nut.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup chunky or smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make It

1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2 . Cream the butter, peanut butter and sugars until light. Add the egg and mix until the batter is smooth and fluffy.

3. Blend the flour, baking powder, soda and salt together well. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Stir until well blended

4. Fold in the chocolate chips.

5. Drop the cookie dough by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until set and lightly browned on the bottoms.
