Magali Elali and Bart Kiggen are the husband-and-wife team behind the popular website, Coffeeklatch. The site is an online magazine where creatives from around the globe are interviewed. This year, the couple took their penchant for interviewing, and wrote their first book, Greenterior, a look inside the homes of plant-loving creatives. But it's their home and aesthetic that have intrigued us. Living in Antwerp, Belgium, the couple has curated a beautifully modern interior where they both...MORE live and work.

From magazine to full-service studio, Magali and Bart are also experts in photography, copy writing, design and art direction. And their expertise shows in their interior, which is absolutely picture perfect in it's design. The home, which dates back to the 1930s, has some beautiful classic bones, including herringbone wood floors, original wood doors, and lovely marble mantel pieces that are perfect for styling.

Authors of a book on plants, it's no surprise that their interior is filled with them. The greenery is brought home as another part of the decor. "Every week we pay a visit to the flower market and whenever we have guests over, they bring a plant or a cutting. Swapping cuttings is a very personal thing. It’s like receiving a gift; instead of a bottle of wine or a nice book, you get a living, breathing souvenir that has a story attached to it," says Magali about the abundant plant...MORE life in their home.

Collectors of plants, the couple also collects books. "Wherever we go, we bring something home. We love collecting memories and stories. And besides that, we ship a lot of books from abroad." The collection of books is beautifully displayed on shelving throughout the home.

The home office is where the couple works on their creative projects. The minimalist decor is refreshing. With crisp white walls, pops of color are brought in through plants and flowers in the space. "Our home is a place where we like to come to rest. That’s the reason why we tried to keep it bright and light using natural materials mixed with vintage objects. All walls are bare, counterbalancing the overload of visual impulses we experience in our jobs."

"There’s no such thing as too many plants. They clean the air, make our lives prettier and the space cozier. If you’re good to them, they grow. They give an instant gratification that people like. They’re like mini-projects in a way." Their green thumb is featured throughout the space.

The bedroom is also minimalist. A beautiful aesthetic where the architecture and bones of the space shine through, unobstructed by furniture. A low platform bed sits quietly on the floor.  And just a few essential accessories take up space in the room.

The kitchen is the most modern space in this 1930s home.  Filled to the brim with plenty of surfaces for cooking and preparing meals, it's clear that this couple loves to entertain and cook for others. The open-plan kitchen is also home to the dining area. A large, wood farmhouse table is able to seat a multitude of guests.
