The PJ Masks Show Review
The PJ Mask show follows 3 6-year-old kids, Amaya, Connor and Greg, the heroes who transform into the superheroes Owlette, Catboy and Gekko to save the day, during the night.
The PJ Masks show teaches kids about cooperation, teamwork and friendship. The show serves as a nice easy transition for young kids to relate to the world of superheroes, without violence, fighting or fear.
At the ages between 3 and 6 many kids are Disney Junior fans. They are just beginning to watch longer movies, but many... still prefer to watch short, 12 minute episodes.
Many Disney movies, like Big Hero 6 and Zootopia, can be scary for young children.
The "bad guys" in PJ Masks are not nice and while they create problems, they are not mean. The problems the PJ Masks solve are simple. For example, they will ask villains to return train cars to the fair, but they will win by outsmarting them with internal super powers and magical animal amulets using their brains, rather than weapons.
Some kids are just not ready to make the leap from a short animated episode into a long movie. There is a day that kids leave the preschool super heroes behind and show interest in Star Wars and the Avengers, but many parents still cherish a child's innocence and love for animated shows like PJ Masks.
