The problem is that the flame can spontaneously go out and be reignited by turning the control valve to off. There have been 26 reports of this occurring including injuries. Failure to properly place the wood chip tray in this smoker can cause the wood chips to catch fire which can blow the door open suddenly. There have been six reported cases of this happening with no reported injuries. This recall affects models 20070312 and 20070512 sold at Bas Pro Shops and Cabela's between May and August of 2012. Owners of this smoker are asked to stop using it immediately and contact Masterbuilt for a repair kit. Improper assembly of this gas grill manufactured in China by Guangdong Vanward Electric Co. can put the main fuel line in contact with the firebox of the grill leading to a fire hazard. Of the 37,000 grills sold in the United States by Lowe's Home Improvement Stores between November 2011 and May 2012, there have been two reports of fuel lines melting and rupturing. Owners of this grill are advised to discontinue us and inspect the gas fuel line. This hose should run outside of the grill... cabinet and pass through a small hole to connect to the fuel tank. The Consumer Product Safety Commission, Health Canada, and One World Technologies have issued this recall concerning leaking gas regulators on the STOK Island and STOK Quattro Gas Grills. There have been 569 reports of propane leaking from these faulty regulators which can cause an uncontrollable fire underneath the grill. The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Uni-O Industries have announced a recall of 4,530 portable gas grills sold at various retail outlets between November 2008 and December 2010. The regulator on this grill can leak causing fires. There have been 10 fires reported by owners though there have been no injuries. This recall affects 18,450 Char-Broil Vertical Gas Smokers sold by Walmart and other retail stores between March 2008 and June 2010 manufactured by Ningbo Spring Communications of China under the Chat-Broil brand name. When placed on the low setting the regulator does not allow sufficiently for the smoker's burner to remain lit. This can lead to a build up of unburned gas inside the smoker. If that gas reignites it can cause a fire or explosion. Char-Broil has received fire reports of... people being hit by the smoker's door when the gas reignited. The 4,600 units of the Kuuma IR Stow and Go Grill sold through West Marine stores between January 2009 and August 2009 are recalled to address problems with the connection of the disposable propane tank. The tank may not connect correctly leading to a gas leak that can cause fires from the propane tank. The Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with Sagittarius Sporting Goods of China have announced a safety recall on the Master Forge 5-Burner Gas Grill, model #L3218 sold by Lowes Home Improvement between September 2009 and November 2009. The rubber gas line may come in contact with the Grill's firebox causing it to melt. This can lead to a fire. Two cases have been reported though no property damage or injuries have been caused so far.

This is a complete recall of 5,600 Cook's Outdoor BBQ Grills sold through JC Penny Stores between February 2009 and September 2009. The drip pan of this grill does not allow for adequate drainage that can lead to uncontrollable grease fires. Eleven instances have been reported. Since this is a complete recall you are entitled to a full refund of the purchase price. This is one of the largest gas grill recalls in history affecting 663,000 Perfect Flame Gas Grills made by Jiangxin Innovations in China for Lowes Stores in the United States and Canada and sold between September 2005 and May 2009. The inferior burners in this grill can easily and quickly deteriorate causing uneven flames. In some models, the lid, made with an aluminum/magnesium alloy can catch fire. U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Health Canada, and Fiesta Gas Grills have announced a voluntary recall of 113,000 Fiesta Blue Ember Gas Grills models FG50045, FG50057, and FG50069 sold in the United States and Canada between November 2006 and May 2008. The problem relates to a potential fire hazard caused by the gas hose coming too close to the firebox. If you own this grill you are asked to discontinued usage until you have repaired the grill. Repairing the grill includes inspecting... the gas hose and regulator to determine if there is damage and to replacement the grill's grease tray. DO NOT use this grill until these repairs have been made.
Please take this recall serious. 161 fires have been reported related to this defect and 9 injuries, 2 serious. The longer you wait to resolve this problem the more likely you are to have a serious accident.
The Blue Ember Gas Grill was subject to a previous recall in October of 2008. Blue Ember Gas grills are manufactured by Unisplendor Corp., and Keesung Corp., of China and imported by Fiesta Gas Grills of Dickson, Tennessee.

This is a complete recall of 24,000 Perfect Flame GAC3615 made by Jiangxin Innovations (AKA Lucas Innovations, AKA BBQTek) and sold by Lowe's Home Improvement Stores between October 2007 and July 2008. Due to a concentration of magnesium used in the body of this grill the metal of the grill can catch fire and melt. There have been 175 reports of fires and 25 reports of grills melting. This recall affects about 400 Char-Broil Gas Grills made by Shenzhen Jinwoniu Trading Company LTD of China and sold at Mills Fleet Farm Stores between February 2008 and April 2008. The burner used in this gas grill is the wrong size and does not properly fit the manifold. This can cause gas leaks inside the grill. No incidents of this have been reported, but owners of this grill are asked to call Char-Broil at (866) 671-7988 for a free replacement burner and installation instructions.

Onward Manufacturing has announced a recall involving all models of the Signet, Sovereign and Sovereign XL Gas Grills. A design flaw caught by Consumer Reports testing can cause parts of the cook box of the grill to melt during an excessive grease fire. A grease diverting baffle kit has been designed and is available now. Sagittarius Sporting Goods, a Chinese maker of sports equipment, has announced the recall of approximately 36,000 4-Burner gas grills sold under the Perfect Flame brand name exclusively through Lowe's Home Improvement Stores. These grills sold for about $400USD between September 2006 and February 2007. The problem with them is that the hose connecting the side burner to the manifold may be missing potentially causing a gas leak and fire. If you have this grill you are being asked to call... Weber is issuing a recall on all 2007 model Weber Genesis 320 Series gas grills. This includes any 2007 model Genesis gas grill with a side burner. The recall is to replace the fuel line to the side burner that may crack during shipping. Weber will get you a new hose and send someone out to put it on for you.
