Writing for The Spruce has given Sarah the chance to explore her interest in how our spaces affect our wellbeing and productivity. Her current freelance work also includes telling stories of how offices are changing as a writer for WeWork.
Sarah specializes in content for clients who help others with their personal and professional development. But she's also done a little bit of everything, from copywriting for startups to editing steamy romance stories.
Before going out on her own, Sarah worked at daily newspapers such as the Orlando Sentinel and the Austin American-Statesman. At the American-Statesman, she was an assistant editor for a features section that was named one of the best in the nation by the Society for Features Journalism.
Her love of design has taken her from the Eames and Stahl houses in Los Angeles to Seaside, Florida. She's between those landmarks geographically, as a longtime resident of Austin, Texas, and style-wise, as a fan of both midcentury modern design and old Florida flavor.
Sarah holds a bachelor's degree in communication from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where she also lived through the reign of dusty rose and cornflower blue in dorm room decor.
