These candied sweet potatoes are super simple to prepare and bake. Just 2 ingredients plus salt and water.
- 6 medium sweet potatoes
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- Peel potatoes and cut in slices about 1/2 inch thick.
- Lay in an iron skillet or shallow casserole dish and add the remaining ingredients.
- Cover and bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
- Uncover and continue baking for about 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
