Skillet Beef and Cabbage Recipe

Skillet beef and cabbage, using sliced roast beef, chopped cabbage, onions, and other ingredients. ​It's a delicious and almost hash-like mixture, cooked in a skillet. This is an excellent way to use leftover roast beef. It's a meal that couldn't be easier to whip up!

What You'll Need

  • 1 head cabbage, about 1 1/2 pounds
  • Salt
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Dash pepper
  • Thinly sliced roast beef

How to Make It

  1. Cut cabbage in chunks; wash and dry.
  2. Chop cabbage coarsely; transfer to a saucepan and cover with salted water.
  3. Cook until just tender, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain well.
  4. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in skillet; sauté onion and drained cabbage until tender.
  5. In another skillet, sauté beef in remaining butter until hot.
  6. Place meat on a serving platter; top with cabbage mixture then drizzle with meat drippings.
