These chicken wings are glazed with a cinnamon and sherry glaze. If you plan to use the marinade as a dip or sauce, put it in a saucepan and bring to a full rolling boil.

What You'll Need

  • 16 chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sherry (or rice wine)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (ground)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves (ground)
  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel seed (crushed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (coarsely ground)

How to Make It

Cut each chicken wing through joints, leaving three pieces; discard the tip portion. In a plastic bag, combine remaining ingredients. Add wing pieces and seal the bag. Marinate in refrigerator for 3 hours, turning bag occasionally to keep all wings coated. Drain chicken wings and place on baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes, turning once during cooking, until chicken wings are well browned and done.

Serve with a mustard dip. Or, put the marinade in a saucepan and bring to a full rolling boil. Serve with the chicken wings.
