Start with Pasta Sauce

Creamy Tomato Pasta. Linda Larsen

I always have many bottles and cans of pasta sauce in my pantry. If I just don't want to cook at all, I heat up a jar of sauce, maybe throw in a sauteed onion or some frozen precooked meatballs, and serve it over pasta. Start with pasta sauce for fabulously easy, foolproof, and delicious recipes.

But you can use pasta sauces in so many different recipes! Rich and creamy Alfredo sauce is perfect spooned over fish or used as the sauce for an open-faced sandwich.

A Cheddar cheese pasta sauce is perfect mixed with ham or leftover meatloaf for a hearty meal. Whenever a recipe calls for making a bechamel sauce, white sauce, or cheese sauce, turn to one of these convenience foods instead to save a lot of time and effort.

And make sure you look at my recipes that start with Alfredo sauce for more time saving ideas. Enjoy these easy recipes!

Start With Pasta Sauce

  • Creamy Tomato Pasta
Just five ingredients make this fabulous recipe so quick. And it's so delicious. It's one of my new favorite go-to recipes.
  • Baked Tortellini with Three Sauces
This super rich dish is perfect for company. Nobody has to know it was really easy to make!
  • Beefy Spaghetti
This easy recipe uses just six ingredients and it's hearty and satisfying. It only takes twenty minutes, start to finish.
  • Chicken Manicotti
This five-ingredient recipe is a real winner. What makes it even better is that you don't even have to cook the manicotti shells ahead of time! They cook as the chicken bakes.
  • Pizza Spaghetti Style
This old casserole has been in my family's recipe box for years. It feeds a crowd with only one pound of ground beef and is so delicious and satisfying.
  • Red and White Tortellini
This is a classic way to use both red and white sauces along with frozen tortellini. You could add frozen precooked meatballs too, if you'd like.
  • Meatloaf Spaghetti
This is one of the best uses for leftover meatloaf ever. And it's so quick and easy!
  • Skillet Spaghetti
This is another fabulous one pot pasta recipe. The spaghetti cooks right in the sauce, so you don't have to deal with a big pot of boiling water. And the pasta is so flavorful because it absorbs the flavors of the sauces as it cooks.
  • Chicken Spaghetti
Chicken and mushrooms simmer in pasta sauce, then the flavorful mixture is spooned over spaghetti.
  • All-In-the-Slow-Cooker Spaghetti and Meatballs
If you don't have meatballs, leave them out! Use cooked ground beef or frozen meatless crumbles. Or add veggies to the sauce, let it cook in the crockpot, then add the pasta at the end.
  • Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs
Baking pasta in a sauce results in a wonderful flavor and texture combination. You'll love it.
