    Simply 7 Kale Chips. http://www.simply7snacks.com/

This company makes snacks that are gluten-free with clean ingredient lists, and one of their latest entries into the world of crunchiness is their Kale Chips, which are more like potato chips made with kale powder, made from crispy leaves of kale. The main nutritional benefit is a big honking dose of vitamin K in a serving, and if you’re going for chips, it’s nice to find ones with something extra to offer. The Lemon and Olive oil flavor is especially nice.

There is no snack my family craves more than popcorn, and while I often pop it myself, I also love a good bag of it (especially for car rides!).  The Half Naked Popcorn has 26 grams of whole grains per serving, between 24 and 37 calories per cup, and you can basically munch away for a long time in a guilt free fashion. We liked the Hint of Olive Oil, Hint of Sea Salt and the tangy Wild Buffalo Blue. Non-GMO, gluten-free.

    Curate Snacks

These Curate snack bars are a mixture of nuts and other not-your-run-of-the-mill ingredients. The Balsamic Fig and Hazelnut bar was a favorite, flavored with orange. Chewy, moist, and a little unusual. My older son said they were “delicious” (and it’s hard to get that word out of a 16 year old!). Other interesting flavors include Salted Decadence with Dark Chocolate & Almonds and Sweet & Tart Berry Bliss. GMO, gluten and soy free, and nice source of fiber and protein.

Sometimes life calls for a potato chip. Deep River makes some good ones, with flavors like Aged Cheddar Horseradish, New York Spicy Dill Pickle, Sour Cream and Onion Krinkle Cut, as well as good old Original Salted. An interesting thing about these chips is that they are stamped “Made in a Nut Free Facility,” so if you have any person with a severe nut allergy in your home, and you are tired of looking at disclaimers about being made in a factory that also uses nuts, this might be your chip....MORE Gluten-free, non-GMO.
