Halloween Guess Who is a Halloween party game where your guests will need to guess which Halloween character they've been designated by getting clues from the other party guests.

The Halloween Guess Who game is a great icebreaker game that will get your guests mingling and ready for a night of spooky fun. You can alter the character list to make this game work for kids too or even to fit other parties throughout the year, including Christmas parties.

How to Play Halloween Guess Who

As each guest arrives at the party, stick a label on their back with a Halloween character written on it. Be sure not to let the guest peek when you're applying their name label. This is now the guest's new identity. Make sure that the character doesn't match their Halloween costume; that would be too easy.

Begin the game by telling all the guests that they aren't allowed to tell each other the character that's on their back unless that person makes a correct guess about their new identity. It's not fun unless everyone plays the game and gets to know each other a bit better.

The guests are then to mingle and ask each other "yes" or "no" questions so they can find out what Halloween character is on their back. If guests are having a tough time getting started, suggest that they go more general with their questions and then get more specific.

When a person makes a correct guess, they're allowed to move the label off their back and onto the front of their body. This way everyone will know who's made a correct guess.

There's no prize for who figures out their character first because you still want all guests to continue to interact so everyone can find out which character is stuck to their back.

As the game progresses and there only a few people who haven't correctly guessed who they are, you can forget the "yes" and "no" rules and let the guests start giving each other clues until everyone knows their identity.

The game can end when everyone makes a correct guess, or you can carry the game on for the rest of the party and have guests keep in character for the remainder of the time.
