Stylish Metals Add Rustic Charm to Any Wedding Day

    Perfect Wedding Guide

Gone is the stuffy silverware and glitzy gold rimmed dishes of weddings past. In 2018, copper features abound, and this adaptable metal can be chic or rustic, depending on the finish. Copper pairs very well with navy or blush tones and greenery pops when set against copper. For a rustic wedding, hammered copper cups are trending, as are copper flower vases, candle holders, and cake stands. Centerpieces adorned with brushed copper and filled with bright flowers perfectly finish off the rustic table. For a chic look, shimmering copper-colored heels strike a fashionable contrast to an ivory or blush wedding gown. Copper leaf hair accessories add a polished look to the bridal ensemble. Grooms are adding copper wardrobe features too, including boutonnieres and ties.

Choosing the Perfect Color Palette for the Perfect Day

    Dear Pearl Flowers

The 2018 Pantone color of the year is Ultra Violet. The decidedly floral palette includes wedding colors such as Dusty Lavender, which is pink with violet undertones, a pink-hued pale grey dubbed Misty Lilac, minty green Ether, and a gorgeous soft Deauville Mauve.

Weeping Willow is a sage colored green, perfect when paired with rustic copper or metallic elements. Bridesmaids will love wearing dresses in these colors and will have fun mixing and matching. Remember, the wedding party need not wear all the same colors, but choosing from one palette ensures a unified theme and ever-so-pretty photographs. These colors will work well for invitations and table setting, brightly colored floral arrangements and soft pink, ivory or shimmering gold wedding gowns.

    Bridal Fashion Trends

    Bridal Musings

The fall 2018 Bridal Fashion Week was packed with unique and inspirational pieces. Some featured dress trends for 2018, according to The Knot, are wedding capes and capelets, split sleeves and halter style dresses. Topping the runways for 2018 are sheer sleeves and capes, cute bolero jackets and lace, sheer or beaded accents. In lieu of the traditional veil, 2018 brides are choosing capes, and for the more adventurous bride, walking down the aisle in chic pants or even shorts is in fashion for 2018 weddings. Black accents such as velvet bows, belts and sashes are also trending. Unique colors are at play as well, including shades of blue, dusty pink and shimmering metallic gowns.

The most prevalent trend in hairstyles for 2018 are luxurious braids. Romantic, soft, inverted braids with lace or pearl headbands look beautiful on the rustic bride. The loose waves with the flower crowns we saw in 2017 are still trending, as are stunning crowns of waterfall braids. Dutch braids (inverted French braids), rope braids and fishtail braids adorned with beautiful hair ornaments allow the bride’s face to be the center of attention.
