Traditional Origami Menko Card Tutorial
Learn how to make some traditional origami menko cards with this easy to follow step by step tutorial.
The Japanese Menko Card game is very simple to play, you need two or more players, and about six or more cards each - one player places a card face down, each of the other players takes turns trying to flip that card over by throwing a card down to hit it. The player who flips the target card over keeps all of the cards that are on the ground.
In this tutorial we will be using square paper that... has been cut into thirds, I will show you how I measure and cut the paper.
Usually, the traditional model describes that you fold the paper into thirds first, leaving the paper quite thick, which can make it difficult to fold and get clean lines.Continue to 2 of 6 below.

Start with your square paper, I'm using two different colors.
Start by making a mark at a third way in from the left.
To work out what a third is, take the width of your paper and divide it by three.
This paper was 20cm so a third is 6.6cm.
Now fold the right side over to meet the mark.Continue to 3 of 6 below.
