Green is very nourishing to your health, as it calms your nerves and balances your whole body by bringing healing feng shui vibrations from Mother Nature. When working with green to create a good feng shui house, it is important to have at least several different shades of green in order to bring in its healing effects.
Why Use Different Shades of Green?
When you are out in nature, you actually see hundreds of green color shades, all depending on the saturation of any given leaf, for example, as well as the way the sunlight plays with it. So, a successful feng shui use of green in your space involves bringing at least three different shades of green with different decor items.
If you find a beautiful green paint and decide on a green room in your Health and Family area (very good feng shui), do not stop at just the wall color. Be sure to bring at least two more decor details in a green that is somewhat different from your wall color. These details can be pillows, vibrant art, a sofa throw in fresh spring green, a side table, etc.
Tips on Using Green
A great way to bring in more green color for the purpose of creating good feng shui is with lush foliage plants. You can choose to use plants that are not only beautiful but also do a good job in purifying the indoor air. This does double good feng shui duty.
As the feng shui color of growth and healing, green can be freely used in the East, Southeast, and South feng shui bagua areas of your home or office. If you are working with the Western/BTB bagua, then green is good in the Health and Family, Wealth and Abundance as well as Fame and Reputation areas.
It is best to avoid a strong green presence in the North bagua area of your space (Career area in the Western/BTB bagua).
From fresh spring color of the newly opened leaves to the strong green of a mighty oak tree—there are literally hundreds of greens to choose from in your feng shui applications. Study the bagua, the feng shui energy map, and bring the energy of renewal into your life with green.
