Vanilla-Ginger Simple Syrup Recipe

This is a fabulous flavor-infused simple syrup and can be added to cocktails that call for simple syrup like the Nutty Martini where the vanilla and ginger can enhance yet not ruin the base flavors of the drink. This will store for up to a week when refrigerated.

What You'll Need

  • 8 ounces sugar
  • 8 ounces water
  • 1/4 cup fresh ginger, chopped
  • 2 vanilla beans, split and scraped

How to Make It

    1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil for one minute.
    2. Remove from the heat and let steep for 20 minutes.
    3. Strain out vanilla bean pods and ginger and cool syrups.
