Veronica Fowler

Veronica has 40 years of experience gardening and writing about gardening.

Besides writing, editing, and project editing dozens of books on gardening and landscaping, she is a Master Gardener whose Ames, Iowa, garden is the subject of garden tours and garden shoots. She also does garden photography, which sometimes accompanies her writing.

She is an accomplished cook and DIYer and has restored her 1929 Cape Cod in Ames. She is also restoring the 1920 Craftsman four-square built by her grandfather on the Kansas family farm.

Veronica is a former editor at Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Publications and written, edited, and done project management for numerous garden magazines, book publishers, and websites. She is a frequent public speaker and has done many radio and TV interviews and demonstrations. She currently writes a garden column for The Cedar Rapids Gazette and is co-publisher of theiowagardener.com.
