Where to Donate Clothes

Locate a Clothing Donation Center

The decision on where to donate clothes may be influenced by a few factors:

  1. Location: you don't want to travel too far to donate your used clothing.
  2. Charitable goals: you definitely want your clothing donation to go to an organization whose mission you believe in.
  3. Ease of the donation process: it's nice to be able to drop off your clothing in a public bin or to have the organizations pick it up directly from your home.
  4. When to donate your clothing: I recommend donating clothing as part of...MORE your closet organization process.

An important step to organizing a closet is deciding what do with the clothes you are no longer going to keep. Before you begin organizing your closet, have a plan in place to donate your clothes. Bonus: many donation centers will come to your directly to you for a pick up. Below are popular options for clothes donation.

You may have local charities you like to donate to. The following is a list of organizations that accept clothing donations nationally.
